About Penwortham Football Academy
Coach Mark
Mark is an FA Level 2 qualified coach who has been coaching for over 20 years. Having been brought up in a sports environment, he coached grassroots teams in South Manchester, running sessions and then large Holiday Camps for Soccerwise. Since 2006 Mark has worked in the PE department at Penwortham Priory Academy and now leads the department as Head of PE. In his role he is a qualified First Aider as well as being a trained Safeguarding Lead.
Coach Dave
Dave is a FA Level 2 qualified coach. As a youngster Dave played in the Academy at Preston North End before going to College and University. He was then signed by Kidderminster Harriers as a professional before stints at Chester and AFC Fylde. Dave now works in the local primary schools delivering sports on behalf of South Ribble Active Health.
Coach Ellis
Ellis is a qualified FA Level 1 coach who is working towards his Level 2. Whilst one of the youngest coaches with us, Ellis is a Scout for Manchester City and their Pre-Academy, allowing him to see the levels required to play at the highest level. Alongside coaching, Ellis is an Assistant Manager for Penwortham St Teresas U8 Yellows team.
Coach Ryan
Ryan is currently coaching/managing Penwortham St Teresas U7 Whites alongside his football and futsal coaching commitments. Ryan has always had a keen interest in football and now plays futsal competitively for South Ribble Futsal Club and Edge Hill University.
